Our Public Works Residency invites artists to take up residence to work on new art in exchange for community interactions that make the creative process visible and leave an artistic mark on our community.
A Sum of Our Parts
As part of its Public Works program, the Princeton Art Collective brought back contralto Lauren Decker for another stunning performance at Parlor Hotel. This set of music, A Sum of our Parts, featured Vignettes: Ellis Island and other music of our origins.
Craig Thompson Reimagined Riverfront
“The Fox River has long shaped the story of Princeton, once serving as a vital artery for the logging industry that helped build the region’s early economy.”
Ellie Jackson Recording Session
“When I feel safe, seen and supported, I come alive. Seems simple, but simple things aren't always easy. Last week felt easy for me because of the support of an amazing group of collaborators.”
Nick Goettling Crane Mural
“Last week I started the long, long, long drive from Washington state to Princeton, Wisconsin to paint a two-part mural that I'd originally begun late last fall.”
Harvest Moon
“…an entire evening of so many people contributing their talents, enthusiasm, grace, and soul to an entire night of creative expression and soul-glowing cup filling.”
