PARC OFFERS SUPPORT FOR GREEN LAKE MURAL

Public art has come to Green Lake in the form of a mural on the east side of the Design Specialty Builders building at 509 South St.

This mural, a cooperative effort between local art groups, a few concerned citizens and artist Molly Jo McDougall, is the first of hopefully many art projects that will beautify the city.

“We’re thrilled to introduce this mural as a symbol of the cultural and visual identity of Green Lake,” Project Coordinator Amy Arnetveit said. “The mural is more than just paint on a wall; it’s a celebration of creativity, community pride and the future of our downtown.”

Green Lake’s mural project is part of a broader initiative focused on area beautification and public engagement through the arts, according to Arnetveit.

To make this mural possible, the group partnered with Princeton Art Collective (PARC), a non-profit that focuses on bringing public art to our community,” she said. “PARC plans to continue supporting similar creative projects in the future, partnering with artists and organizations to make our area not only a scenic getaway but also a hub for cultural expression.
